2015 was great! Busy transformative and productive!

So many changes this year! It is almost as if I was a completely different painter at the beginning of the year to the end of the year.. Many thanks to all the beautiful, creative souls who have worked with me this year and for all the following years in the continued development of the Sleep series!

I've been reading Tarot cards since my sister gave me a deck in 1981.
Here's a 1 page tarot 'cheat sheet', which is handy as a reminder whilst reading..You may note that I don't bother with reversed meanings, I feel that they are inherent to the original thought..

Friends stole a spark from the Sun

One of the Ugo Foscolo inspired works in mid process. I tend to go back to various themes every now and again.
Here's a link to my old site and an earlier variation on this theme..

Friends stole a spark from the Sun
to light the subterranean night,
because the eyes of man in dying
search out the Sun; and all breasts
send their last sigh to the light that flies
Ugo Foscolo

Emma and the Hypnic Jerk
Acrylic on canvas, 1000 x 1500mm 2015
Emma Serjeant is an exceedingly dynamic performer and mind. A meteor, tumbling backwards, the hypnic shock to the heart causing startled, protective movement of the limbs..

Billy Shannon's busy studio

A small show at Three Bowls, featuring Emma Serjeant and Rudi Mineur

Dreams of flight...

January 2015, all hearts and flowers... And a large dreamer which happened before the Sleep series really got going..

Lotsa Rudis!

One can never have too many Rudi Mineurs in the room!
