Description

Under the Bodhi
Trees in silent sentience.
We speak underground

Inspired by a stay at a Vipassana meditation retreat where there were a couple of Bodhi trees.

Sometimes when we meditate, the meditator seems to disappear and there is only the sensation of everything around, and the interplay of the body with the elements—breath, heartbeat a displacement of space.
In this work the meditator is gone, there’s a kaleidoscope of elements; leaves, lungs, an inversion of self, and many other things.

The disappearing meditator echoed upside-down, relating to the underground communication of plants.
