The Stockroom
has been set up by Adam Head and Billy Shannon, to help promote a vital contemporary
arts environment in Brisbane. Our main focus is the artists involved in the space
and promoting and selling their work as best we can. Being artists ourselves,
we are very aware of the expenses involved in getting ones work 'out there' so
we are keeping costs to an absolute minimum.
The basic concept is that you bring in
work that you would like to sell (it doesn't have to be new work) and we will
do everything we can to move it for you at a nominal weekly rate per work and
20% commission. We are developing a strong on-line presence with a secure credit
card facility. Of course we will be fairly choosy about what we take on, as we
only want to encourage buyers looking for quality work.. We are not a running
a bargain barn!
Non-saleable, installation work etc. is very welcome..
Stockroom opened on the 16th December with
a group show, 'Loading Zone' which included all the
artists whose work was held 'in stock' at the time.

The Costs...
Bring from 1 to 20 works in; pay only $3 per week per item..
Or only $500 for six months flat rate for up to 10 works..
Bring from 31 to 40 works in; pay only $1.25 per week per item...

All works Documented and promoted through our website. Works sold attract
a 20% commission
