A happy end to 2018!
The last few months of 2018 stayed as busy as the rest of the year, which is exactly how I love it! Sona and I had work in the Downlands Art Exhibition, I entered some more competitions and am happy to have been a finalist in the Gladstone Art Prize. Then there was a final exhibition at Cross Gallery in Bundaberg. Plus we had a fantastic time travelling down to Pasadena Sydney, Church Point, where we painted vignettes for a wedding reception venue, working with interior designer Brett Salta. Apart from that I continued my work on commissioned paintings and started to develop some new ideas and directions. More on that next year!
The first morning in Church Point! Sona Babajanyan and I were commissioned to paint vignettes in a wedding reception venue called Pasadena Sydney.
The first day at Pasadena was all about designing the vignettes.
From sketchbook to walls.
Painting a design that I based on art deco aeroplane motifs. They seemed to be quite popular at the time that the Pasadena building was built in 1929.
Sona painted the lampshades, and I painted the walls to match, all directed by Brett Salta.
It was a fantastic gig at Church Point, and even the weather seemed sad to see us go...
